My Bio
Welcome to PhotoGaga on DA! Both a photographer and oil painter at heart, I've had a passionate interest for art and photography for as long as I can remember. I've been less adept at picking up my brushes and working on canvas in recent years, as I once did, but one of my old loves has been rekindled - and that is photography.

Portraits, fashion, landscapes and experimental are among topics of greater artistic interest to me. I find that they offer the toughest challenges and yet reward me with the most rewarding satisfaction when done well. Now if I only could get the hang of conceptual photography; I'd be happy as a lark!

I live and work in the city of Tromso, a small, but beautiful northern Norwegian town 300 miles north of the Arctic Circle. Surrounded by endless mountain ranges and deep, cold fjords. And inhabited by crazy Norwegians!

Please feel free to get in touch with me, and thank you for taking the time to look at my images.

All photos shown in my stream are copyrighted by me and are not to be used, reproduced etc. without my written permission.

Thanks for stopping by! ;)

Trying to break the secret of fashion and wireless flash photography, I've been hoping to make up my mind about which of two choices may be best. PocketWizard has recently launched the new MiniTT1™ Transmitter and FlexTT5™ Transceiver for Canon. These units are both compact and attractive - but at a fairly steep cost. At least here in Norway. You'll be lucky if you find these for less than $700 in this part of the world! And, to me, that's a heck of a lot. See pocketwizard.com The RadioPopper, on the other hand, seems more reliable (according to video reviews on their website) and is much cheaper. Check out their site to see what

No, that kind. I probably don't have too many of those following me, any way. What I mean is taking group shots - like I did today. And not just a little group, but as many as 30 people. Aargh! And all waiting to go get some lunch while the photographer is trying to get everyone lined up and in the frame. You guys know what it's like: some people are tall and some short, and some just don't want to get in the way. How do you do it? I need advice!

I know I can take pictures in the rain, but when it's cold AND rainy! What's a photographer to do? I guess I'll have to begin taking studio shots. :(
